Meetup at the Beach Cafe - Saturday (Really Early)

[It's some godawful hour of the morning around the crack of dawn; time to gather! This little beachside cafe is small, quaint, and most importantly, serves good hot coffee. Why not faceplant into a nice hot cup of joe while you wait for everybody else to get here?]

[sleep? what was this mythical beast and where does Shou find it? he is currently sitting at a table, looking rather awake despite the early hour and scrolling through his phone checking on all sorts of things. there is a cup of cappuccino sitting in front of him with a crazy plant-like monster thing drawn in the foam and a pair of sunglasses next to it as well as a sheathed sword. He probably had a lot more where they came from, considering the fact he was driving a normal van today instead of his flashy car.

[Maya, meanwhile, doesn't look awake at all. She also still looks a little pensive. Catherine's death is heavy on her heart.]

[Ravi is...kind of running late, actually. He didn't think this through AT ALL. But he let his drunk-self sign up for something and sober-self is now committed, unfortunately. He half-hopes he's late enough that he's missed out and whoops guess he'll just go on home then...]

[he brought Brooke with him for moral support (because Alex would never let him live this shit down, and he has to live with Alex). the request went something like 'i make terrible life choices when i drink, come with me so i feel like less of an idiot' (okay maybe not EXACTLY like that) (but pretty close)]

[for someone who spent most of last night barhopping, he looks surprisingly refreshed this morning. his unruly curls have been tamed into neat waves and he went to the effort of dressing business-casual nice to make a good first impression.]

[but he...freezes up when he gets into the cafe. that group over there looks like the one? but what if it's not???? what do :( ]

[hey, if Brooke had known that there was a bar crawl going on, she'd probably be in exactly the same position as Ravi right now. but one of them has to be the responsible one, and obviously it should be the one who definitely didn't spend last night laughing her head off because she thought she could just filter out whatever was in the water with, like, a Brita thing.]

[she'd rolled up maybe ten minutes earlier in a modest, red Beetle and spent that time in her car, waiting for Ravi to show. when he does, she steps out of her car and makes her way next to him with a friendly smile on her face.] Good morning, starshine.

[she's got a froofy caffeine-filled drink in her hand, something with a fake Italian name, no ice, and about thirty ounces of deliciousness in a twenty-ounce cup, all from a much gaucher establishment than this. she hasn't slept. thanks, night shift sleep schedule. she feels underdressed next to Ravi, even though all she's really foregone today is her tie to let her neck breathe. yeah, it's the beach in August, but that's no excuse to slap on a bathing suit.]

That looks like them. [who else would have that much photography equipment? she considers pulling Ravi over before noticing that she recognizes at least one face in the crowd—the person who still needs funeral arrangements planned. maybe show a little more decorum than that, Brooke. and that's to say nothing of Ravi's anxiety that she's pretty sure he was being serious about.]

[she flashes her friend a smile, at least.] Come on, they won't bite. [one or two steps closer to the group now, she glances at Ravi over her shoulder.] You look good, by the way. Very professional.

[Kanti is one of those infuriating people no one really likes in the morning because she is perfectly functional. Not groggy or peppy or anything of the sort, just awake, made-up and tall. Way too collected to be starting her senior year in high school and technically doing this without a parent's permission. But she'll be eighteen in a month and is a horribly capable liar, so it matters little as far as she's concerned.

Still, she's dressed a little... heavy for summer weather. But there's really nothing you can do when your knees and elbows glow like nightlights, aside from sip coffee and do your best to look like you're not analyzing every single person in the room.]

[The hour may be godawful, but nobody would guess so by looking at Hajime. Sometimes being a morning person has its perks, so he looks utterly unperturbed by the unholy time of morning as he sits with a cup of tea and takes a few sips as everyone's filtering in.]

Beach Modeling Photoshoot Main Thread - Saturday (Dawn to Dusk)

[Alright people you weren't hired to just stand around and do nothing! ...Well some of you were. BUT Riku'd appreciate it if you stood around doing nothing interestingly. Or let the weird guy over there manhandle you into it. He's a professional, we think.]

[he's not weird! well, maybe just a little but he isn't that weird even if some of these costumes came out of his private collection of cosplaying gear. Shou will direct people to makeup or costume depending on who was being who, but he won't give them the swords just yet.

[Kanti is being a terrible model insofar as she's been giving The Look to any person who comes near her and looks like they are going to attempt Actual Physical Contact. Or maybe she's being a great model in that aspect. Who knows? Probably actual people who have done this before.

But she's in her costume and completely ready to be posed like a doll and make $15/h for said posing, so at least she is successful in that at the very least.]

Beach Mingle - Saturday (any time)

[Kanti doesn't even know what to do with this. There is a guy on the beach yelling at the ocean. Her parents would tell her to stay away, but then again, her parents also think she's at a study group.

She walks up next to him, peers out towards the ocean, and then looks at him.]

[Shou brought with him not only several costume pieces that might help the shoot, but also a couple super-soakers. so after eating a little, he stripped off his t-shirt and went over to the water's edge to fill one up and then walked on back to the party with a big huge grin on his face.

Old Church - Open, Sunday, Mingle (10 AM - 2 PM)

[It's sure a nice church, and thankfully the service seems to be over. The church is fairly large and beautiful structure with gothic arches, stained glass windows, a raised dias with an altar and the general things you would expect from a church. Try to respect the solemn air in this holy place, but there's nothing wrong with being friendly. Oh and hopefully someone brought lunch.]

[Lunch, hmmm? Well, one of the few perks to being the manager of Pizza Hut is the actual pizza bit. Perhaps it was a small stroke of generosity, or maybe (more accurately) he just didn't want to eat some shitty sandwiches or something for lunch, but Logan brought a few pizzas. Just enough for everyone to have a couple pieces at most.

[Road trip! Well, sort of. Anyone not in a car or a car pool can hop into the nice white van driven by a Van to the nearest forest. Let's hope we don't crash into anything. And hey how about some of those annoying bus songs?]

Because that is exactly what's happening here. Arthur is singing "The Wheels on the Bus" at the top of his lungs, just as he might aboard his own school bus.]

Forest Photoshoot Main Thread - Sunday (3-6PM)

[What are we-- oh right we wanted options for more poses and adventure-looking shots-- oh isn't that cliff nice? What? Oh fine, spoilsport. How about that lagoon then? Or the nice little clearing with a stump you can sit on? Or prop up your foot.]

[The cliff, the lagoon, and the stump all look equally nice, from where Hajime's standing. But he also figures that since he's just here to look good, it's someone else's place to tell him which one they think looks nice and where he should be standing in relation to it.

So he's hanging back, waiting for instructions, and double-checking the ties on his hakama. Wearing these things feels...weirdly familiar. More comfortable than it should be.

He'd rather just get some instructions so he can stop thinking about that.]

Forest Mingle and Drive back/End - Sunday 3PM Onwards
