001 voice; speakerphone. MEGIDO SISTERS JOINT POST.
- There! That should work. [ That’s a fairly cheerful, bright voice, though it doesn’t belong to anyone who has ever addressed the network before. ] Okay, now! Let’s see if we have things straight, first off.
Aria says, as if that's really possible when we're on a mysterious unknown secret network. [ That's a different, also new voice. A bit smokier, but not entirely unpleasant. ]
Mara says, as though it's impossible we can't. Come on, we've solved tougher mysteries than this! Just last week, even. Answer: Egypt. Okay, so - let’s recap what we know so far. Past lives...
... and echoes about them or something...
...something about energy blasts...
... uh, a giant ass purple scorpion? I don't--
-- and I’m pretty sure I saw something about alien attacks! And the police? Did we hit all the highlights? I feel like this is mixing a bunch of genres, but whatever.
This isn't a genre mix, this is a painful genre smash-together. It's like someone just vomited some genres out, called it a day.
I would ask if this were some sort of forum or mmorpg we forgot we signed up for, since that would definitely explain the genre vomit - thanks, Mara -
No self-respecting mmorpg would be this clumsy in genres. [ That's in the background, scoffed. ]
[ There’s a very small pause, and Aria’s voice gets further away as she turns, to make a quick remark. ] Like we always play self-respecting mmorpgs - but the secret network doesn’t need to know about our hobbies just yet! [ And then getting back on topic... ] But I feel like the fact we opened this with mysterious numbers we memorized as kids - okay, well, I memorized a bunch of numbers as a kid and Mara only did it, what, recently?
Fairly. And I was going to use them in my comic, damn it.
For what, a phone number? Just make up a new chain, silly! -- But anyway that and the memories are pretty solid proof that this isn’t a crazy game! I mean, unless we’re in some sort of shared hallucination or something? I guess technically we could have lost it together and we could be in some sort of shared sisterly delusion, but I don’t see what we could actually do about that option, so I’m ignoring it.
Drugs. It's obviously drugs. And maybe drugs are the solution, too.
That's a joke. Don't do drugs. Stay in school.
Assuming you’re in school to start with. Or were you talking to me? [ Aria sounds amused more than anything else. ] Anyway! I think all we really wanted to do was say hi! And, you know. Ask for people to fill in any blanks we have up there! I’m Aria, by the way. And thanks in advance!
And I'm Mara, Aria's older sister. Explanations would be, you know. Nice.
If this is a game, I do have to say that the "not knowing it's a game for sure" is a nice if not entirely well-executed touch.
Oooh, yes. I’d give it ten out of ten for that if it was. But there’s not even any class choices or customization, or you know, goals, or tutorials, so if it were a game that’d be the only place it’d get marks...
[ Click ends the voice post, as the sisters trail off in a debate about, uh, mmorpgs. Way to stay on topic, girls.
Both Aria and Mara will reply to comments - in no particular order, since they'll do separate replies to each comment (though they may threadjack one another on occasion). Anything directed specifically to one or the other will probably get the correct Megido, however, unless the other one feels like chiming in. ]

text; DIDN'T NOTICE IT WAS TEXT.
now i feel silly for not managing to find that!
thanks a lot, though!!
most is better than none, i'd say.
well, generally!
you're no worse than me, as you can see
First echo?
HIGH FIVE for that
just finished skimming that and wow?
i think wow is the appropriate word here.
i mean it is not every day you find out about police conspiracies and the like!
not like this at least!
are you asking for the specific what it was or the date? :o
either way i was a kid and it was the BEST thing ever.
i'm not entirely clear on the details but i was going on an adventure and i swung across this chasm with a WHIP.
have sort of learned to repeat the feat through lots of practice!
[ and broken bones. ]
we are highly competent professionals here
Impressive regardless, though! Dr. Mordin Solus. Run clinic, as you may have seen.
the most competent of professionals are us
[ READ: she broke a lot of bones as a kid. Because she was ridiculous. ]
and thanks!
it's very nice to make your acquaintance dr. solus! :)
i think i've seen your clinic before!!
is it customary to ask about first echoes?
should i ask about yours? :o
Re: the most competent of professionals are us
Was concussed during a lab accident at local university while teaching a guest class. Woke up with faster metabolism. Only need to sleep for about four hours a night.

i'm more than happy to help with research if it helps get any answers. :o
i assume you'll share your results anyway!!
if you need what happened before i remembered, i watched the BEST movie trilogy ever.
i.e. indiana jones. <3
:o that sounds pretty rad actually!
or well useful?
er
not the part about being concussed that sounds the opposite of rad and i'm sorry about that. :(
oh my god your aradia is so cute
As for research - there was a proposal that echoes are reflections of past lives. Not sure how much I believe in it, but oddly accurate. Makes sense with regards to echoes I've currently gained.
haha thank you!! i really like mordin too :>
ngl high school would be easier if i only had to have 4 hours of sleep to function.
i imagine it's a lot more important for a doctor though!!
:o
who proposed that?
Re: haha thank you!! i really like mordin too :>
Friend of mine. Mentioned gaining memories of being someone else. Happened to others, too.

that is REALLY badass, ngl.

Like, GIANT BLINKING TEXT: FAQ.
Thanks, mystery network person.
Re: text;
First echo?

Like, "past life echo" where I got the cool numbers? Uh, well... [ She's not totally sure she should be spilling that information to relative strangers to about that. Not that it's, like, sensitive information or anything particularly interesting. ] It was a fight, both the cause of the thing and the thing. The echo or whatever was kind of, uh, more ~duel-to-the-death~ and messier, though. Real one not so much! Thankfully, I guess.
Kind of weird, tbqh, not sure what good it's for.
Re: text;

Sort of.
Well not really, kind of weird as shit, but sounds better than "well, it's a thing that things".
